Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Etajima Ventures LLC ("Etajima Ventures," "Chain Tree," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the Chain Tree website and application (the "Service"). This is a preliminary policy provided as a general reference and is subject to legal review and revision.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address, either directly or through Google OAuth (via Supabase Auth), and any stores or preferences you save to your account.
Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing metadata (such as plan, billing status, and subscription dates) from Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
Usage data. We collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Third-party store and shipment data. Chain Tree's core function is aggregating and displaying publicly available information about ecommerce stores — including public storefront/catalog data and public shipping/customs records — for stores you search or track. This information relates to businesses, not to you as an individual, and is separate from the account information described above.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including your tracked stores and revenue/supplier insights
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To communicate with you about your account, changes to the Service, or support requests
- To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, including detecting abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with infrastructure and service providers such as Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Stripe (payments), and data-collection providers used to source public storefront and shipment records. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Chain Tree, our users, or others.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (including those set by our authentication provider) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used.
5. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations. Publicly sourced store and shipment data is retained to keep tracked-store history and trends accurate over time.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us.
7. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
